Best Buds!

Proverbs 27:17 says "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Oasis has started a new program "27:17". This is a discipleship/accountability program where a few people are teamed up together to serve as someone who can ask you the hard questions in life and hold you accountable. It's also a great way to make long-lasting friendships. My 27:17 partner is Lindsay Carlyle. We are having a great time. Lindsay is a great person. She loves the Lord and loves her family. She also loves bargain shopping, so we get along great! We have gone to 2 consignment sales here in town and have come home with great deals. She is helping me so much with areas I struggle with by praying for me and being a great encouragement to me. Her husband Benji and John are 27:17 partners as well. Benji and Lindsay have a little boy named Ben. He is 3 and he and Dalton have a great time together. It's become a stand-in tradition to go every Sunday after church to Taco Bueno in Maumelle with Benji and Lindsay. So during the week, if we go to Taco Bueno, Dalton says "Where Ben go?" I am pretty sure he thinks Ben lives at Taco Bueno!

Yesterday, after our lunch at Taco Bueno, we walked outside and talked about how beautiful the day was. We decided after the boy's naps we would take them to the park. What a difference a few hours can make! It went from beautiful spring-like weather to winter again in a matter of about 2 hours! We still went, but could not stay very long. The boys were so cute playing together I did manage to get a few pics. Lindsay told me that Ben told her the other night while he was taking a bath that Dalton was his "best bud". How sweet!
