Happy 4th of July!

We celebrated the 4th all weekend this year. On Saturday, we went to Family Fest Parade in Maumelle. Dalton enjoyed watching the floats, but most of all he liked the sack full of candy we left with from the parade! After the parade, we went to Lake Willastein in Maumelle where they had pony rides, bouncy things to jump in, games, carnival food, bands playing, and fireworks that night. Thankfully, the rain held off for the most part and the fireworks weren't cancelled! The funny part was that Dalton had been asking about the fireworks for 2 days and then when they actually started, he begged us to go home because he was so scared! His mean mom and dad made him stay and endure it!
On Sunday, we went to church and then that night the Harrington's invited us to their house for a cook-out and fireworks. The kids had a great time and the adults enjoyed games of ladder golf and great food! Dalton enjoyed the fireworks much better that night.

We bought him this snow cone at the Family Fest. He loved it. In fact, he loved it so much he got his chair and moved far enough away from me and John so that we would not be able to share his snow cone! This boy is a STINKER!

They had pony rides at the Family Fest. He loved riding it. He got off and said, "I fell just like a cowboy!"

"Riding the Range....Yee Haw!"

"Howdy partner!"

Picking out the good stuff!

Look at this big boy. He wanted to put on his helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads and ride his big boy bike. I wish I could say that we put all this stuff on everytime we ride, but......

Ladder Golf is an awesome game to play. It's a favorite of our family and during the summer time we try to organize a couple of games. Of course beer is involved.
