So we go to bed Sunday night knowing that we might possibly get snow on Monday night and even then it was supposed to be a "trace" of snow. So glad Grandma called early Monday morning and let us know that we were out of school! Yea! It's a SNOW DAY! This gave Dad and I some time to figure out how we were going to handle this with Dalton. Judging from the past, as soon as he hears there is even a possibility of snow, he wants to go out right then and there. We decided not to say a word about it until we all had eaten breakfast and got dressed. I said, "Dalton, we have a surprise for you! Go look outside!" He was so excited and just like we knew he would, he said, "I wanna go outside!"

Perfect snow to build a snowman!
(notice the hat says "Oasis Church"....it's a Christian snowman!)

"I'm melting!" He was pretending to melt.

Shoveling snow with our neighbor Mr. Norm

Making snow cream with dad

This boy was adamant about going outside with his flip-flops. After many attempts to try to convice him that we don't wear flip-flops in the winter... we gave up and said okay! He went out the back door and this was as far as he got. He decided this was not a good idea and quickly came back inside! He will eventually learn that Mom and Dad know best!
